Zim Hip Hop artist signs new record deal with Sony Music

The year has already turned to be great one for Mile, who after releasing Trading Hours took a back seat.

The VERYUS star whose birth name is Lionel Mhike has just signed a new record deal with Sony Music South Africa, something that he has described as a blessing.

In an interview with The ZimTainment, Mile said that Sony Music will do everything in their power in these developmental stages to break and brand him as an international act.

Their partnership will include music production, marketing and distribution.

Mile will be releasing new music this year under the new partnership but there is no word on if we can expect a full album or when the new tunes are going to drop.

The singer and rapper describes the new deal as an “opportunity of a lifetime.”

“Other than acknowledging it as an opportunity of a lifetime, not too many other words come to mind,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to it being a mutually beneficial venture with a healthy synergy that leads us to having my brand crossover and tap into a broader market of potential fans. God willing, even beyond just Africa.”

Mile urged his fellow artists that, “record deal or not, aspire to be the best version of yourself with the time you have, then give that to God to guide.”

We certainly cannot wait for what Mile has to offer for the last quarter of the year.

Congratulations to Mile on the new deal.
