With all the trolls that has been going on, one fact that Zimbabweans cannot run away from is that Masvingo which is also called MasVegas by the younger generation has produced some of the extraordinary people in the country, from academics, sportspersons to artistes, it has everything to offer.
Talking about artistes, there are a few names that come to people’s minds especially when talking about Hip Hop and one of them is Jungle Kid.
Jungle Kid is in his own league and his rare talent is unmatched and uncontested.
The artiste who has been called the king of underground rap dropped the much anticipated album in the Zim Hip Hop fraternity entitled Stone City a couple of months ago.
According to Jungle Kid in the skit, Tyoki,
“Stone City is an exodus from the house of hunger, is about a young man tryna make it in life, tryna live large, trapped in the dungeons of the ancient city but still manage to kick it visualizing the early experiences after marriage, midlife crisis…”
The 23 track album is laden with slow paced jams with great lyricism and wordplay that can leave anyone perplexed.
Stand out songs in the album include; MaAffairs, Kings and queens, Ghetto rangu, Daddy cares and Pretty good.
Jungle Kid worked with different producers to ensure variety and they include; Pepzee, Skatta, Martian, Jonn, Lyre and Yung T.
Phreshy, 8tyFive, Kukue, HD, Bongzee, Lowsoul, Vee Chang, Skatta, Tsitsi, Ceydar and Lyre are the artistes who featured on this project.
