Hailing all the way from Bulawayo, the city of kings and queens, one of Zim Hip Hop’s finest rappers, Asaph, is ready to release his first project after being signed by Def Jam Africa.
Many a fans were starting to grow impatient after the rapper had taken a long time without releasing anything after the Def Jam deal, with others suggesting that it was a wrong move to sign the contract.
However, it seems as if his upcoming EP, The Big Mhofu might be finally be released sooner than we thought after the ‘Mambo’ hit-maker released the official artwork for the EP.
The much anticipated 7-track EP features his best friend Ganyaz Jnr, Bhekiwe, Holy Alpha and Loki.
With the Zim Hip Hop scene currently competitive at the moment, fans cannot wait for Asaph’s project and if social media is anything to go by, many of them want to see how he will shake the industry after his historic deal with Def Jam.
Asaph last released a full project back in 2019, an EP which went on to do pretty well. He also released a couple singles for instance Like So which topped charts and got him endorsement deals.
