Theatre in The Park

Jazz crooner and Green ambassador Dereck Mpofu will tonight launch his latest album, Godobori 2, at Theatre in the Park in Harare. At the launch, the Chisikana Changu Zimbabwe hitmaker will be supported by controversial singer Vimbai Zimuto, Mzimba, Simjoe, Pah Chihera and the host, Mono Mukundu.

Christ Embassy Church grounds

Popular Zimdancehall singer Seh Calaz will tomorrow perform at the Christ Embassy church Faith in Action gospel crusade to be held at the church’s grounds in Belvedere, Harare. The Munamato Wangu hitmaker will share the stage with gospel artistes Flame B, Best Masinire and Whitney ‘Songbird’ Dube, Shaft Matinya, Ruvimbo, Abbey Chigubu, Bridal Mufunde, Nomalanga Thodhlana, J Soldier and Blessing Zondi.

Machipisa Footbridge

Seasoned singer and poet Albert Nyathi this afternoon shares the stage with dancehall singer Jiggaz and Zvido Zvevanhu as they take turns to entertain guests at the World Poetry Day commemorations at Machipisa Footbridge in Highfields, courtesy of Action Hub in Harare.

Prolific guitarist Progress Chipfumo and his Sounds of the Motherland tonight entertain merrymakers at K2 Sports Bar which is opposite OK Kuwadzana 2 Shopping Centre. Tomorrow, Chipfumo takes his acts to Southerton in Harare, with a performance at Café Lounge Bar.

Dendera ace Sulumani Chimbetu will tonight perform alongside Afro songstress Ammi Jamanda at the All White part set for East Point, formerly Jazz 105, which is located at corner Sam Nujoma and Robson Manyika in Harare.

Holly’s Hotel

Dancers Association of Zimbabwe president Hapaguti “Hapaz” Mapimhidze will on Sunday host his belated birthday celebrations at Holly’s Hotel in Harare. The potentially explosive bash will feature Zoey and her Red Angels, Bevy and Sexy Angels, Thandie and Dynamites, Sasha, Fearless and Five Stars. Famous wheelspinners DJ Cables will be on the decks.

Bar Rouge

Afro fusion singer Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora, backed by his Mhodzi Tribe, will tomorrow entertain merrymakers at Bar Rouge located at LongCheng Plaza in Belvedere, Harare.

Ganya Night Club

Dendera singer Allan Chimbetu will tomorrow entertain revellers at Ganya Night Club in Gazaland, Highfield, Harare.

Mzimba Gardens

Urban groover Taurai Mandebvu will tomorrow share the stage with Drum Dada, alongside DJ Stone, DJ Style and DJ Kells who will be on the decks at Mzimba Gardens in Coldstream, Chinhoyi.

Machipisa Joy Centre

Sungura musician Tatenda Pinjisi and his Holly Upper Sounds tonight perform at Joy Centre in Machipisa, Highfields. Tomorrow, the same venue hosts Tendai Dembo, who will be backed by his Barura Express Band. On Sunday, the club hosts the joint’s proprietor-cum-music promoter, David Madzudzu’s birthday, that will be graced by Baba Harare, Progress Chipfumo, Peter Moyo, Allan and Tryson Chimbetu, as well as Somandla Ndebele.

Rainbow Theatre Kwekwe

Evangelist Gaudencia will on Sunday launch her album, By Grace supported by an array of gospel singers, among them Kudzi Nyakudya, Bethan Pasinawako, Spencer Mugoni, Ruvy Fundira and Maungira Edenga at Rainbow Theatre Kwekwe.

Marawu Sports Bar

Veteran sungura singer Nicholas Zakaria and his Khiama Boys tonight entertain patrons at Marawu Sports Bar in Empress Mine, Kwekwe. The singer will be sampling songs on his forthcoming album, Inzwa Unzwe.

Dancehall singer Snipper Storm tonight performs at the Museum Hall in Kwekwe, and will be supported by Ganja Man of Gweru, Tinny Triger of Kwekwe, Ras Killet and DJ Flexx.

Dancehall chanters Killer T, Kikky Badass and Enzo Ishall will tonight share the stage in Masvingo at Caravan Park at a Hello Summer Concert alongside DJ Two Bad and Abisha Palmer.

Chivavaya Night Club

Sungura singer Francis “Franco Slomo” Daka, backed by his Extra Kwazvose, will tonight share the stage with Senator Tichareva and his Sky Limit Express as they take turns to entertain merrymakers at Chivavaya Night Club in Guruve. Tomorrow, the duo will perform at Mzansi Bar, Mvurwi.

Alliance Francaise, Bulawayo

Curtains will come down tomorrow at the annual Francophone Cultural Festival that roared into life on Monday with a closing concert headlined by locally-based Congolese rhumba music outfit Diamond Musica at Alliance Francaise in Bulawayo. The week-long festival celebrates cultural diversity among French-speaking countries present in Zimbabwe, among them Belgium, Canada, France, and Switzerland.

Umahlekisa Stokvel

This week’s edition of the weekly Sunday sessions of Umahlekisa Stokvel will be hosted in Emakhandeni suburb in Bulawayo, celebrating multi-award winning journalist Sindiso Dube’s birthday. There will be musical and comic performances, braai and give-aways. The Stokvel, which rotates venues at well-known personalities, homes comes courtesy to Umahlekisa Comedy Club.
