Top Zimbabwean Dancehall artiste Winky D has won the Best African Dancehall artiste award at the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRWAMA 2021).
The Dancehall star battled it out with fellow Zimbabwean Dancehall artist Buffalo Souljah, Ghanaians and Shata Wale and Stonebwoy and Nigeria’s Patoranking.
Winky D took to social media to thank his fans for the support they have given him over the years and also honored the late Scara the Drummer, a former member of the Vigilance Band who passed on last year.
Also representing Zimbabwe was vaChikepe the Poet who won the Mutabaruka Best Spoken Word Entertainer award.
