September is a big month for Zim Hip Hop

With two of Zimbabwe’s finest Hip Hop artists releasing their albums on the 30th of this month and Shoko Festival’s Peace in the Hood Concert which is mostly dominated by Zim Hip Hop also taking place during the last week of this month, it is beyond any shadow of doubt that September is a big and special month for Zim Hip Hop this year.

Jungle Loco who is arguably the best vernacular rapper in the country will be releasing his album titled Gwala Mnandi. The much anticipated album will be released exclusively on the new and local music platform Audiocus.

Speaking to The ZimTainment, Jungle Loco’s manager Setfree Chikwati revealed that fans should expect quite a distinct approach from the previous album.

“Gwala Mnandi is a project that everyone should look out for whether you are a Hip Hop fan or not. On this album Jungle came in with quite a distinct approach from his last album, Bata MaStreets,” said Chikwati.

The 14 track album is laden with tracks that also touch on societal issues and it features artists like Tha Dawg, Visza, Mbuya VaPiasoni, Monzon and Shian.

What to expect from Jungle Loco

Jungle Loco is known for his sick wordplay and rhymes. His use of similes is unmatched and he is regarded as one of the best wordsmiths in the Zim Hip Hop industry. His previous album, Bata MaStreets won album of the year at the Zim Hip Hop Awards in 20… With the success of Bata MaStreets, Jungle has obviously gone a level up to make sure he serves his fans the best they can have.

Meanwhile, from the capital, Voltz JT is also set to drop his maiden album titled Life of Muvhimi on the same day as the Masvingo native Jungle Loco.

If his social media posts are anything to go by, Life of Muvhimi is going to feature artists like Tamy Moyo and Dobba Don. Voltz JT’s fans are also looking forward to this project as it his first solid project since he hogged the limelight.

What to expect from Voltz JT

One of the best Drill artists in Zimbabwe and famous for songs like How far, These Days and Muchiround, Voltz JT will be looking forward to emulate or rather surpass his past success. He is one of the young Hip Hop artists who has been holding it on for the genre. With some of the artists he featured on his album, he might be coming with a different approach in some of his songs

With Jungle Loco and Voltz JT dropping their albums on the same day, Hip Hop fans are in for a treat this month of September.
