Hip Hop artiste’s EP released posthumously

Prior to his death in November 2018, Patrick Junior Ncube a.k.a Lorbee J was working on a number of projects, one of which was an Extended Play (EP) titled Movement.

Movement spans 12 songs and features his label-mates Frixx, KoKo, Lyrico, Dj Salim and J Garnet. Production was primarily handled by Lorbee J & Dj Salim with KoKo serving as the Executive Producer.

The EP features samples of James Chimombe’s Mudiwa Janet & Marko Sibanda’s Njambanja Pahotera and is mostly made up of Lorbee J’s love stories.

Lorbee J seems to have coincidentally predicted his death in the last song “Umphefumulo Wam” where he says that he is not ready to die because he doesn’t know what will happen to his child.

He passed away on the 4th of November.

Lorbee collapsed and died whilst playing basketball for Lupane State University team at U.C.E grounds.

This happened at a time when he was still rounding up the project so Frixx & J Garnet were the ones that added verses to the 2 songs that were not finished.

The EP was released on the 3rd of January by Excellence Music Records and below is the direct link to the project.
