Zim Hip Hop rapper Amiz has just dropped his first single of the year titled Simuka (rise up) two years after the release of his debut album, dreams of august.
The track was produced by Rodney Beatz.
Simuka is a motivational track where Amiz talks about being able to stand your ground and rising up whenever you are down. He also talks about how and why he left his mother country to settle in Europe where he is based now.
Amiz has been off the local radar for some time concentrating on live performances and recording new material in Europe were he has found his new base. For the past two years he has slowly established himself as one of the few crops of Zimbabwean hip hop artists who are hungry for the international market after seeing himself secure opening slots for big international acts like Ricky Rick and HHP.
Amiz is currently working on a sophomore album which is slated to be released in the last quarter of year and it will feature quite a number of international artist and producers from Malawi ,Zambia and south Africa which their names will be released in due course.
