Forex trading has become a popular source of income in an economy without an internationally recognised currency which is in form of Bond notes. It has been a late contributing solution in reducing the ever increasing societal ills which are highly related to unemployment and low standards of living.

Blessing Zhou, a National University of Science and Technology (NUST) student, opened a Forex Trading academy – Zhou Forex Academy (ZFA) whilst finishing his first degree in Risk Management and Insurance.

“I realised that academic excellence is overrated so as a way of uplifting my fellow students, I felt like they must know about forex considering the 6-7 trillion US dollars which is transacted daily,” he said.

“Instead of counting on a degree alone to give you money, I feel like students must have a second if not a main stream of income being from forex trading.”

In as much University students are highly vulnerable in some social vices which are related to economic depression, Zhou’s forex trading tutorials have become an unannounced financial relief to interested individuals. Some students are already independent and are even financially supporting their families only by forex trading as a source of income.

One of the students who managed to pay his own school fees at Bulawayo Polytechnic really appreciate the effort made by Blessing Zhou on how his forex trading tutorials brought financial independence to him and other students in different Bulawayo based tertiary institutes.

“Ever since I joined Zhou Forex Academy I have been generating enough money to pay my own fees and support my family financially. I can now afford most basic needs through something which is not even in my area of study” he said.

Explaining how he thought of venturing into forex trading, Blessing Zhou who is also a students’ activist said;

I have a friend who scammed me my savings in the name of forex trading but he wasn’t trading, he was running a Ponzi scheme. This made me curious and decided to research about what forex trading was all about. When I started, I took it lightly because I thought it was a pyramid scheme of some sort. When I found out how legit it was and made profits, I gave it my all, to an extent of resigning from ZETDC where I was doing my industrial attachment.

Can one rely on forex trading as a long term source of income?

“Forex trading is not a get rich quick thing but once you master the art of trading, you can make it your main and long-term source of income” he said.
