Just recently, the Gweru-based Afro Fusion artist Prince Oliver released his debut album titled Takuda Chiedza.

We came across it and went through a few songs, and came up with a compilation of 6 songs off the album that have the potential to be hit songs.

1. Dali Wangu

The song serves as a proposal song, in which Prince is asking his lover if she is ready to take their love to the next level which is marriage. He also asks for as much love and affection from his lover despite all circumstances that may make it unsteady for their love to thrive. The song has a Phyno type of vibe to it, blending into the current trend of Afro Fusion vibes.

2. Ndiwe Chiedza

In the song Prince describes his love as the light to his life, the major reason that he has the courage and hype to be the best he can. He also promises to save her out of any plight that might befall her. An afropop vibe wraps up the amazing venecular lyrical content delivered in this song by the artist.

3. Mahobho

This is our favourite tune off the album so far. Prince asks his lover to remain by his side and continue loving him even though he doesn’t have much in possession or anything to to brag about. In a prt of the song he says ‘Nyangwe ndiri Mahobho, nyangwe ndiri matanyera, ramba uchishaina dear, ziva kuti ndiriwako.’ This is quite one of the things that most girls of this era are quite reluctant to accept. Most relationships are driven by physical benefits so you really need good-luck on that one Prince!!!

4. Dhololo

Dololo is a party song with that pure local vibe to it, inn the song he encourages one to have fun nomatter what might be going on in his life. He also admires the good looking girls that are always coming around to spice things up during fun time.

5. Heal The World

Off the whole album, Heal the world is the only song in which Prince sings in English. It bears a message of unity, peace and tranquillity amongst people throughout the world. He clarifies that it is our duty to heal the world. There is no guarantee to make progress unless peace has been restored amongst us. He also makes the importance of charity amongst ourselves, as it is a stepping stone towards achieving total healing.

6. Cant Let You Go

Last but not least comes another love song titled cant let you go. In this song he expresses how much he loves his girl and how he would crush if she lost her. He promises her infite love and unending care.
