F*ck your airplay: Kikky Badass tells Dj Mox

Zim Hip Hop reigning female artiste of the year Kikky Badass has finally broke silence and castigated Star FM’s Dj Mox and other radio Djs for not playing her music.

In an audio played by Capital 26Free’s Keep It Real Fridays last week, the angry rapper ranted about how radio Djs gave a blind eye to her music though she submitted her music physically to the radio stations.

She went on to complain about how Dj Mox was interested in her beef with Tiara than her music such that he went on to play the diss tracks and never played any song from her album.

Kikky who won the Zim Hip Hop people’s choice award last year had a great year musically. She had a successful album, toured Zimbabwe and South Africa and dropped one of the finest videos for 2017 as has struggled to get radio airplay.

However, Kikky said that airplay or no airplay she is going to remain the best in the game and all the radio Djs who have not been playing her music should f*ck off and keep their airplay.

The queen of the South went on to her Instagram stories and posted proof of her conversation with Dj Mox when after she had gave him her music.

Apparently it seems as if the lack radio airplay is contributing to the stunted growth of Zim Hip Hop, but should artistes blame lack of airplay?

Let us hope the the Kikky and Dj Mox shenanigans end well for both parties and maybe the latter will start playing the former’s music.
